Thank you so much for joining me on today's episode. Welcome to the growing tall poppies podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Nat Green. And today I wanted to welcome you to the final growing tall poppies podcast episode for the year 2024. And wow, what a year it's been. I still have to pinch myself every day to ensure that it really has happened. What started earlier this year as a basic concept evolved into a full on launch in April of this year. We have now had 41 episodes, thousands of downloads, and listeners across 27 different countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, Sweden, Portugal, and even Russia. So, I wanted to say a huge thank you to every one of you. all our listeners, and of course, to all my amazing guests who have so vulnerably and generously shared their experiences and their wisdom with us all. I feel so totally honored and blessed that I can even be a small part of your lives as you listen into the episodes and navigate your journey from trauma through to post traumatic growth. None of all that we have achieved this year, including a nomination in the International Women in Podcasting Awards, would have been possible without you, our listeners. And I am beyond grateful and wish you all the very best for the Christmas, if you celebrate Christmas and holiday season, and may you be safe, healthy, and enjoy time with the special people in your life. And whatever you do, I really would ask that you make some time for yourself to rest and relax whenever you can. We know that Christmas can be a challenge for many people after they've been through trauma or adversity. So please go gently with yourself, practice self compassion and remember to set healthy boundaries wherever possible. It's totally okay. For you to say no, it's so important that you prioritize yourself and protect your inner peace as you navigate your path on this road through to post traumatic growth. To express our gratitude to all of you, we've curated a list of the most popular episodes from the year. And these episodes are filled with actionable tips, powerful shifts, and moments of huge inspiration, and are most definitely worth a listen. So if you've got some time to listen over your holiday break, then make the time for these. Tune into episode 12, The Meaning and Opportunities of Pain, where I spoke to the delightful Kellie Burns, and Kellie so rawly, honestly shared from such a vulnerable place about her life and her trauma, with the devastating loss of her brother to suicide. Kellie talked about the pivotal moments that shaped her early experiences. and the traumatic events that have significantly impacted her life and shared her most amazing insights and taught us how she found new meaning and purpose in her life after trauma. So it is absolutely worth a listen because she emphasised the importance of self care, seeking help and ultimately believing in the possibility of healing. And she's a testament to showing what is possible. So it's definitely an episode worth tuning into. Then there's episode four, where we had a courageous conversation around navigating trauma and resilience with the amazing Jo Muirhead, as she shared her journey through cancer. and the challenge of navigating the health systems and being a strong advocate for herself and her health. She spoke about the challenges in health care, the power of resilience, and how to activate your resilience. and how she found strength in her faith and the community. So those valuable insights are most definitely worth you tuning into again and having another listen to, or if you haven't gone back and listened to that the first time, then by all means, I'd love for you to do that. And if you resonate with anything in that episode, then feel free to share that to the people that you know might also benefit from and then I would also highly recommend you go back and listen to episode 16 around resilience and renewal, where I interviewed the beautiful Emiline Duncan about the transformative power of TRE. trauma and tension release exercises in healing. She candidly shared her experiences with intergenerational trauma and the impact of narcissistic relationships and a tumultuous upbringing on her mental health. She shared how she found the practice called TRE and utilised it to embrace her experiences and release her trauma from her nervous system. and live authentically in post traumatic growth. And she's now paying it forward by teaching TRE and certifying people in the process to allow them to heal, but also for them to pay it forward and make a difference in the world of many others also experiencing trauma and engaged in the recovery process. And of course, this last few months, We've rounded out the year with the Archetypes of Transformation series, where I've introduced you in episode 33, which is definitely. Another one I highly recommend you listen to. I introduced you to the seven trauma archetypes of transformation, a concept and process that I've developed to help you to move from trauma through to post traumatic growth in an accelerated way. Then I've gone into more detail over the next seven episodes with a deep dive into all seven of the archetypes. the Phoenix Riser, the Resilient Sage, the Empowered Trailblazer, the Reflective Orchestrator, the Authentic Warrior, the Radiant Alchemist, and the Liberated Voyager. So I would highly encourage you to take the time to listen to the Archetypes series of mini episodes over the break. and really Have a look at which of the trauma archetypes you feel that you resonate the most with because as you understand the strengths and the challenges and how to overcome them of these seven archetypes, then you too can fully embrace them and really look at accelerating your recovery through into post traumatic growth. So do yourself a favor and do that. And if you've not yet taken the trauma archetypes quiz, it's a free quiz, then I would highly recommend you do that so that you can really understand which of the archetypes you align with the most, discover your archetype profile, and then listen in to those episodes. so you can embrace them as fully as possible. The link for the free archetypes quiz will be in the show notes. And feel free to share that amongst any of your friends or colleagues who you think will gain value from that. And I'll also take the time now to let you know that I'm super excited about my latest book, the new book, which is due out this week, Break Your Trauma Cycle, The Seven Archetypes of Transformation, A Groundbreaking Approachto Accelerating Post Traumatic Growth. The link will also be in the show notes. So please check that out. Get yourself on the list. And I'd love to send you a personalized signed copy of the Break Your Trauma Cycle book. I wish you all the best for a restful and safe holiday season. And may 2025 bring you great health and happiness. and an accelerated recovery from your trauma and see you launch fully into post traumatic growth so that you too can move forward and thrive. Thank you again for allowing me the honor of sharing your journey through trauma recovery. And I'm so looking forward to connecting with you again and continuing along this path with you in 2025. So we can get the podcast out to more people and impact even more lives, because that is most definitely my biggest desire and the mission that I'm on.
